Can line sensors of the type DLU are used along the conveyor line to detect aluminium or tinplate cans. The can line sensor has two sensor elements which are matched to each other. These enable the detection of all common aluminium and tinplate cans.

The advantage of this sensor is its adaptability to the process. Among other things it is possible to detect a can jam or to fade out gaps between cans. Due to its numerous functions, the DLU is the optimal sensor for feeding from the cup press to the bodymaker, to the washer, feeder, dryer, coating unit, printing and filling line and the downstream process steps, right up to packaging.
